Tree Hugger Park

This is a lovely boardwalk. If you ever feel the need to get a bit of nature and work out...going to Panther Creek Park in Kentucky is an awesome idea. Just don't forget the bug spray. This place has a a few trails that stretch out for a couple miles, just enough to get the 30 minute cardio in. While I love my body am plus size, I know that its great for my heart and health to exercise. I have to admit I am a bit of a tree hugger, in a lot of places that's normal....but here in Kentucky they just call you outdoorsie or country. No I am a full on "Why cant we all just get along" "Plant a tree" Hippy. And proud of it.

I don't think it could have been helped getting raised in Northern California. That place was were all the hippies were left over congregated to. So finding this park was a godsend, although Kentucky and I have our good and bad days I always feel a little more at home walking through the trees.

Post workout. It was all just too serious.

This image is to show everyone that's not from the Midwest or has never visited what it looks like from about the middle of summer till fall...everywhere.

Garden Views & Getting Ready

Summer is still going strong and I find that its way too hot outside to really hang out. Unless you want a wicked tan, then by all means chill outside at midday. But my favorite time lately has been the mornings and the light it delivers. As an aspiring photographer I've been trying to really find what times of day are great for light, and upping the quality of my photographs. Still haven't gotten the right equipment yet to feel like I could be on my way to being a professional, but hopefully this semester that will change. So this is just a beautiful morning with all its colorful greens and summer hues, getting ready for the day. At some point I decided to hang out at the Ohio River and that's the last photo you see.

My First Wedding....as the Bride

I had a commitment ceremony this last weekend. And for those of you who aren't quite understanding that...let me somewhat explain, because I'm not sure I understand completely sometimes. My fiance and I are getting married...BUT....it wasn't this last time, not officially or legally. This was specifically so my grandmas could be there or any other family that wouldn't be able to make it to our big wedding that we're going to do back here in Kentucky.

Steve thinks were married now, which we are in a way. But I'm having trouble feeling the effect of being someones wifey since the knot wasn't legally tied. Our big wedding is a year and a half away and its a long time to be in limbo, and I'm still only wearing my engagement ring. I think that's a big part of not feeling like its complete. Although Steve is wearing his wedding band. We still have yet to pick up mine, its safely tucked away in lay away for now. Who knows...once its out maybe I'll actually feel married, but I think it would be cool to first put it on for our 2016 wedding.

So anyways here are some of the photos from our informal wedding, we all looked pretty snazzy. I've been having some health problems lately that made me gain 20 pounds in a month. Of course it had to be the month that we did this right? So I'm feeling kinda blimpy in my photos and felt kinda humongous during the reception. I wasn't focused on anything else during the ceremony but Steve, it was a good ceremony. I actually cried during it! I never thought I would cry during my wedding ceremony but....ya know....best laid plans. Then Steve cried and we set adrift our little origami boat in the creek we were standing over, that was supposed to signify our life joining as one together.

I'll start at beginning of everything and work my way till the end....

For some reason I went from Louisville to Tampa to Manchester. Lol who knows...

Made an adorable frenchie friend on the flight, he was a therapy dog
